Welcome To The Official Cinderford St. Johns Cricket Club Website
Cinderford St. Johns Cricket Club was formed way back in 1880, the product of a group of choirboys from St. John's Church in Cinderford, from which the club gets its name.
And now more than a century later the club is going from strength to strength. The one constant for the club since its guidance under the watchful eye of one W.D.Meredith, who was President and involved with the club until World War II, has been a core of local members.
Right up to the present day, the club is well represented both on and off the field by people in and around the area who give up many hours of their time throughout the year (not just during the season), to ensure that this club continues to progress. Without their enthusiasm, dedication and hard work, the club would not be where it is today.
And so now in to the 21st Century, things are looking bright for the club, with both the 1st XI and 2nd XI boasting a good combination of both youth and experience, which should mean that the future of the club is an exciting one.
